Installation and Commissioning

BMT Field Service Engineers will ensure your equipment is installed correctly. Commissioning begins once installed and utilities are connected. Commissioning includes:

 

  • Reconnecting wires for all devices on the unit and the control box.

  • Inspecting the unit for proper and acceptable connections.

  • Checking electrical connections and confirm proper supply voltage.

  • Checking plumbing – pressure and size of piping supply lines.

  • Verify drain size and location.

  • Run test recipes to verify operation.

  • Check proper operation and make any adjustments as needed.

  • Training of operation and maintenance personnel.

  • Issue a comprehensive Service Report at completion of Startup and Training.

Preventative Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance plans ensure maximum reliability while eliminating downtime. BMT Expert Field Service Technicians evaluate the equipment's running condition with a complete check over, wear parts are changed, steam traps and strainers are cleaned and moving parts are lubricated as needed. A comprehensive service report is supplied on completion of service with the current condition of the unit and recommendations for any future service needs. The Preventative Maintenance Plan can be custom tailored to  your needs and scheduled visits according to your schedule.

 

Validation

BMT Field Service Engineers will execute IQ and OQ protocols provided by BMT or the client standard protocols as follows:

 

The IQ protocol lists the name, description, model and identification numbers, the location, utility requirements, connections and any safety features of the equipment. Verification that the equipment matches the purchase specifications and that all drawings, manuals and spare parts lists match that of what has been supplied.

 

The OQ protocol provides evidence that the equipment does operate as specified. This entails testing of all controls, alarm points, inputs and outputs and all other functions of the proper operation.
